Description
An old abandoned truck sits on the former grounds of the grand mining town of Rhyolite in the middle of the Nevada desert.
Rhyolite is ghost town located not far from Death Valley in Nye County, NV. Rhyolite was started in 1905 and rose from the the desert to a population of more than 3500 people in just a couple years. The decline happened nearly as quickly. Most of the businesses were abandoned by 1909 and by 1920, Rhyolite boasted a population of just 14 people.
