Ocean City, NJ is a city steeped in history. Many of the buildings on the boardwalk are quite old and Gillians Wonderland is no exception. Gillians Wonderland Pier is one of the iconic play areas of Ocean City, NJ. Located on the Ocean City Boardwalk, the Wonderland Pier was founded in 1929. When it first opened, the main attractions were a Ferris Wheel and a carousel. The current Ferris Wheel is 144 ft tall and is one of the tallest on the east coast. One of the things I love about this building are the quirky, retro decorations that adorn the front like this dragon and little girl looking out a castle turret.
I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
