Description
Looking at this little restored town, it is hard to imagine that it was once home to a bustling cranberry business. Listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Sites, Whitesbog was an important part of agriculture history for both NJ and the nation as a whole. Its founder, Joseph J. White was a nationally recognized leader and innovator in the cranberry industry. Whitesbog was also home of the first cultivated blueberries from the efforts of Elizabeth White.
