Description
Ventnor Fishing Pier captured on a pre-dawn summer morning. A fishing pier has existed at this location since 1914. The first pier was replaced by a larger pavilion but was destroyed by fire in 1940. The pier was replaced by destroyed by a storm in 1963. Again, the pier was rebuilt. The current pier was renovated in 2007 and reopened in 2008. This fishing pier is the longest in the state at 1000 feet long. It is open 24 hours and for a fee can be used for fishing and sightseeing.
