Artist's Description

The historic Central New Jersey Railroad Terminal is located within Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. This beautiful building saw many people use its facilities on their travels through the state of NJ whether it was on their way to New York City or as they entered the United States through Ellis Island and were hopping a train or ferry to continue on their journey. Peak years for this building were from the late 1890s through about 1930. After 1930, travel by highway was increasing and the need for rail travel was decreasing. The CRRNJ declared bankruptcy in 1967 after trains had been rerouted to Newark's Pennsylvania Station.

About Kristia Adams

Kristia Adams

I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
