Artist's Description

An old abandoned farm sits along a one-lane road in Walpack Township, NJ. Walpack is a modern-day ghost town in NJ. The residents of Walpack were forced through government seizure and eminent domain to sell their properties
to the government for a proposed dam project in the area. Nearly 8,000 residents were evicted but some refused to leave. The dam project proved to be too expensive and never materialized. The town is now home to only about 8 people. Most of the homes are managed by the National Park Service.

About Kristia Adams

Kristia Adams

I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
