Description

Strasburg Railroad's Baldwin 475 locomotive chugs through the countryside giving rides to visitor's to the area.

This Baldwin locomotive is a M-class steam locomotive and is the only 4-8-0 wheel configuration currently operating in North America. It is also one of the few remaining Norfolk and Western locomotives. Tjhis steam engine was purchased for $100,000 and received a $640,000 restoration overhaul before being put into service at Strasburg in 1993.
