Artist's Description
This is locomotive 475 at the Strasburg station. I captured this image while at Strasburg, photographing at the rail museum across the street. The trains were running the Santa Paradise Express trains.
This Baldwin locomotive is a M-class steam locomotive and is the only 4-8-0 wheel configuration currently operating in North America. It is also one of the few remaining Norfolk and Western locomotives. Tjhis steam engine was purchased for $100,000 and received a $640,000 restoration overhaul before being put into service at Strasburg in 1993.

I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing.
