Description
The Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Locomotive 270 parked at the Mauch Chunk Station in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. This beautiful locomotive was manufactured in 1952 by Electro-Motive Division of General Motors Corp. This F series diesel locomotive more specifically F9-a, was received by Reading and Northern in December of 2019, after being restored 15 years prior in Altoona, PA by Norfolk Southern Railroad. After being bought by Reading and Northern, it was repainted to its current colors.
