Artist's Description

The P-51 Mustang was an American long-range fighter-bomber used during World War II, the Korean War and other conflicts. At the start of the Korean War the Mustang was the main fighter until jet fighters like the F-86 took over. The Mustang then became a specialized fighter bomber. Even with the advance of jet fighters, the Mustang remained in service until the early 1980's. After World War II and the Korean War, many Mustangs were converted for civilian use and were a favorite for air-racing. They are a favorite as restored historical pieces at airshows across the nation.

About Kristia Adams

Kristia Adams

I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
