I arrived at Liberty State Park one summer evening hoping to be there by sunset to capture some New York City evening skyline images. As I was photographing some storm clouds, the sky opened up and poured! I quickly tried to back my gear and run back for the car not knowing my camera bag was not totally zippered up. As I was running for the car, my bag came open and gear (including my camera) spilled onto the pavement. I was so upset, but there wasn't much I could do besides try to pick up the pieces....yes....pieces of some lenses and try to get back to the car and assess the damage. Luckily I only lost one of my cheaper lenses and my camera managed to escaped unharmed. Not sure how that happened. As I was driving to my next location, I looked behind me to see this scene. Even though it didn't start out as the best evening, I did manage to get some very special shots like this one!
I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
