Artist's Description
A bench sits in the shadows hiding from the rays of light that threaten to reach it. I can just imagine someone sitting here trying to stay out of the sun, waiting for the Batsto stagecoach. This image was taken at historic Batsto Village in Burlington County, NJ. This preserved historic site was once the home of Philadelphia businessman, Joseph Wharton. He bought the property as a money making venture and used the land as a farm, for timber resources and other business pursuits.
About Kristia Adams
I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
