When traveling around Iceland, you can see sheep, horses, and cows grazing in the lush green pas tures. WE saw this beauty while touring Ring Road in South Iceland. Icelandic cows have been genetically isolated for centuries and are most closely related to a cattle breed in Norway. No cattle (or other livestock)are permitted to be imported into Iceland, so they have been protected by strict disease-prevention measures
