This striking bird was once called the Rufous-sided Towhee due to the colorful sides but now has the name of Eastern Towhee. They are a common sight in the Eastern woodlands in the United States. I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
