Description
Double Trouble was once a prosperous village in New Jersey. The village was home to a cranberry farm which started in the 1860's. By the 1900's it was one of the largest cranberry operations in the state. The town was typical of a company town which was self-sufficient. There as a general store, housing, a school, a saw mill, and maintenance shops. The Double Trouble property encompasses 200 acres including both the village and surrounding cranberry bogs. Some bogs are still harvested today by leaseholders.
