Description
This logo was photographed on the Canadian National Railways Locomotive 47 which resides at the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA. It is only one of 3 preserved CN 4-6-4Ts (the other 2 are located in Quebec) and is the only Baltic type suburban tank locomotive remaining in the USA. This locomotive was built in 1914 by Montreal Locomotive Works for the Grand Trunk Railway. After the creation of the Canadian National Railway in 1923, this locomotive became #47 and worked till its retirement in 1959. #47 was bought by F. Nelson Blount and became part of the Steamtown collection.
