Artist's Description

New Hope is a little town on the Delaware River in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It has a thriving artist community, quaint shops and great restaurants. It is a favorite among tourists and locals. One of the most recognizable landmarks in New Hope is the Bucks County Playhouse.

The playhouse is located at the site of a former gristmill that was built in 1790 by Benjamin Parry. The structure was facing demolition in the 1930's when a band of artists got together and rallied the local community to save the building. The Bucks County Playhouse was born. It had its first performance in 1939 and has been going ever since. BCP became "America's Most Famous Summer Theater" and has been graced with performances by many famous actors and actresses including Kim Hunter, Helen Hayes, Kitty Carlisle, George C. Scott, Colleen Dewhurst, Shirley Booth, Lillian Gish, Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, James Daly, June Lockhart, Grace Kelly, Alfred Drake, Bert Lahr, Eli Wallach, Anne Jackson, Les...

About Kristia Adams

Kristia Adams

I am a photographer located in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My first camera, which I received for my 11th birthday, was a little Kodak that took the 110 film cartridges. I used all my allowance money for film and processing. I have upgraded my camera a few times since those days and now I enjoy wandering my great state (and places beyond) photographing places that may not be here forever. I specialize in nature and landscape photography.
